In April 2025, 31 international students from 15 countries, enrolled at Zhejiang University’s International Education College, visited Hangxiao Steel Structure Co., Ltd. (HXSS) for a study tour and exchange program.

The students began by touring Gate of Hangzhou, a landmark project constructed by HXSS. Visiting the 6th-floor Sky Garden, they observed the building’s cantilevered roof up close. As the most innovative feature of Gate of Hangzhou, the roof employs the world's first semi-rigid suspended grid steel structure. This design not only achieves an aesthetically pleasing spatial curvature but also overcomes numerous complex construction challenges. During the visit, the students gained firsthand insight into HXSS's profound technical expertise in the field of steel structure construction.

At the HXSS corporate exhibition hall, students systematically learned about the company's full industrial chain layout in steel structure building through multimedia presentations, physical models, and interactive exhibits. Subsequently, they toured the production workshop, observing the operation of the manufacturing lines. Witnessing the entire process—from raw material cutting to component assembly—the students experienced the advanced level of digitalized management in modern construction industrialization.

During the exchange session, HXSS representatives provided an overview of the company's core business operations, technological innovations, and international strategy. In the interactive Q&A segment, students actively posed questions on topics such as the sustainable development of steel structures and career path planning within the industry. Company representatives provided detailed responses to each inquiry.

This visit fostered knowledge sharing and provided international students with direct exposure to China's advancements in steel structure technology and environmental practices through site observation and expert presentations. Moving forward, HXSS will continue to open its doors for corporate visits. Through technical demonstrations and interactive exchanges, the company aims to help more domestic and international students understand the frontiers of green building, cultivating a new generation of professionals for the industry’s sustainable development.
